Steve was delighted to be asked by MD of the Konect Group – Gavin Brown, to host the inaugural Amazing Durham Awards 2016. Having hosted Amazing Wearside in 2015, this was the second time Steve hosted for the company.

The event was staged in the Bishops Suite at the stunning Ramside Hall Hotel and Spa, Durham. 

Steve introduced the evening, before introducing Gavin to say a few words. All money raised in the heads and tails, raffle and collection were given to the Bradley Lowery appeal.

After a game of heads and tails, a delicious dinner followed. Steve performed swing and rat pack during the early part of the meal. This was followed by Jess Harrison – a musical theatre student at Newcastle College performing some well known songs from the shows.

It was then down to business, and the Amazing Durham Awards 2016...

There were some very worthy winners, including the Great North Air Ambulance, Esh Group, TCL at Home, Moon Jewellery,  Jet Black Clothing, Woven & Durham Catherdral.

 The final award of the evening – County Champion, was presented to Adam Deathe from Durham Bid.

The event was a massive success, and planning is already underway for Amazing Durham 2017!
