Steve has hosted the Excelsior Academy Awards since 2010. The first three years were at Newcastle Civic Centre. In 2013 the venue was changed to the Centre for Life, Newcastle. They have has some distinguished speakers over the years, including; Bob Champion MBE, Olympian Craig Heap, Motivational & Fitness Coach Steve Black, Actor Tim Healy & Actor / Presenter Jeremy Edwards, Actress Charlie Hardwick and Metro Radio Breakfast Presenter Steve Furnell.

Steve would like to say thank you to Deon Krishnan who organises the awards. Also thank you to Founder / Sponsor of Excelsior Academy Lord Laidlaw.
