Steve was delighted in 2024 to be asked to host the "A night in Hollywood Ball" for the Great North Air Ambulance Service. He continues to do so to the present day. Staged at Ramside Hall, the Bishops Suite looked stunning, as guests entered after enjoying reception drinks. In 2025, it was the “Emerald Ball”

The Great North Air Ambulance Service brings pioneering pre-hospital care to the scene, rescuing hundreds of severely injured or ill patients every year. They need £9.3 m annually to fund their life saving service. The average call-out cost is £25,200. It has on average 43 call-outs per week, and is 100% reliant on public donations. Steve gives a run down of the evening ahead, before introducing the GNAAS Chief Executive to address guests before  Steve entertains with a vocal set throughout a delicious dinner. A video is then played of why the work of the GNASS is so important.

Head’s and Tails, the Live Auction, Envelope Draw and Raffle all follow, before Steve Introduces the party Band and DJ to close the evening.

The evening is made possible by the kindness of the following sponsors;

  • HMH Civils
  • Woodlands Hospital
  • Northumberland County Show
  • GMI Construction Group PLC

Steve would like to say a big thank you to Tracey Wright, Charlotte Snowball and the team at the GNASS
