Steve was delighted to be asked to host the Kier Southern Supply Chain Awards in 2018. He had previously hosted the same event in 2017 at the home of English Rugby – Twickenham Stadium. The guest speaker in 2017 was Bath, England & British Lions legend; Gareth Chilcott.

2018 saw the event staged at the Old Thorns Manor hotel in Liphook, Hampshire. 

Following a drinks reception, and introduction from Steve, he then introduced Kier Executive Director Jonathan Payne to welcome guests. Other key Kier people to address the audience included; Managing Director of Kier Southern – Steve Cresswell, Senior Quantity Surveyor; Jonquil Tucson & Head of Sub-Contract Procurement; Douglas Gardiner.

Guests then enjoyed a delicious three course dinner, with the awards split into two sections.

After the awards concluded, Steve introduced former West Ham United, Everton & England striker; Tony Cottee. A witty and interesting speaker, he proved popular with both football fans and non football fans alike.
