Steve was delighted to be asked by Sefton Metropolitan Borough Council, to host the Sefton Stars Awards in 2025. The event was staged at the lovely Waterfront Hotel in Southport.

Sefton council in Merseyside, spans a coastal strip from Southport in the north, to Bootle in the south, and an inland area including Maghull With its world-famous, 22-mile coastline, Sefton is home to nearly 280,000 people, to thousands of businesses, to rare wildlife, world famous events and a number of famous faces.

Unlike many awards, there were no nominees and one winner. The afternoon was a celebration of everything great in the borough, and to those who go above and beyond time after time - the unsung heroes.

Steve welcomed guests before introducing the Leader of Council, Councillor Marion Atkinson and Chief Executive Phil Porter. 

Afternoon tea was then served, before moving on to the second part of the celebration. It was the long Service Awards. So many had 40+ years of service and done remarkable tales to tell.

The afternoon was a great success. Steve would like to say thank you to Andrew Daniels, Lauren Rastall and Rachel Occomore.
