Steve hosted the inaugural  Learning Disabilities & Autism Awards in 2014, and continues to do so to the present day.

The Awards celebrate excellence in the support for people with learning disabilities and aim to pay tribute to those individuals or organisations who excel in providing quality care.

The first event was staged at Edgbaston Cricket Ground, Birmingham. TV Presenter Jeff Brazier was the celebrity guest at the inaugural awards.
Due to the demand for tickets to the event the second year, the awards moved to the ICC Birmingham. This continues to be the venue for these awards to date. Other Celebrity guests have included Christopher Biggins, Sally Phillips and The Reverend Kate Bottley.
